Our Story

A Legacy of Community Since 1959

Founded as the BGC Dawson Boys Club, our organization has evolved with our community. We became the BGC Dawson Boys & Girls Club in the 1970s, then the BGC Dawson Community Centre in the 1980s. Over the years, BGC Dawson has launched initiatives like our Seniors Program (1991) and Parents & Tots (1998), eventually becoming BGC Dawson as part of BGC Canada’s national movement. In 2019, we celebrated 60 years. In 2024, we proudly mark 65 years of community impact.
